About Me
I'm a product designer with over a decade of experience designing web and mobile apps. As a lifelong puzzle enthusiast, I love tackling complex problems, whether I'm creating an intuitive interface for a complex workflow or a scalable design system.
I was the first design hire at Lumi, where I spent six years launching 0β1 products, including a marketplace connecting e-commerce brands and packaging suppliers. In this ragtag startup environment, I honed my skills in quickly sketching out ideas, diagramming flows, and leading designs from conception to implementation.
While I've always held roles with designer in the title, I began my design journey through coding and still enjoy dabbling in code on my projects. I also enjoy utilizing these skills while building design systems, both while puzzling out the atomic structure of the system and finessing the CSS of the react components.
I'm currently open to freelance or full-time workβdownload my resume. If you have a role that sounds like a good fit, email me at bethanynue@gmail.com ☺︎
Hobbies & Interests
When Iβm not working, I like to disconnect from technology and connect with the physical world. Often, this means hiking or exploring one of the many scenic parks in California. Other times, this means sitting behind a pottery wheel, turning a ball of clay into a usable object.
I'm an avid reader and am currently reading 'When We Cease to Understand the World' by Benjamin Labatut, a "fictional examination of the lives of real-life scientists and thinkers whose discoveries resulted in moral consequences beyond their imagining." π«
